BUT I did attempt to d/l Thunderbird earlier ... and it asked if I wanted to open it using gunzip , I clickrd yes (default), but I could not find it anywhere so I did a re-d/l to try again .... and that is where we are at now..... I got it to work .. did not do anything different than yesterday either ... must have something to deo with my clicks .. ... now ... in the Thunderbird folder under the sub folder "icons" is an icon I would like to use in my task bar ... how do I go about getting it from the sub folder to the task bar ???? Bruno Posted December 9, 2004 Share Posted December 9, 2004 GREAT news Dale !!Now for the Icon on the taskbar:Righclick on the taskbar and choose Add --> Special button --> Non KDE Applicationyou get a pop up window where you can type the command /home/dale/thundebird/thunderbird or something like that . . . and at the right in that pop-up you see a little icon, press the icon and navigate to the folder that holds the icon you want to use . . . SUCCESS ... I have this plan that involves my other machine ... as soon as I get it all back and running and after my surgeries are done ... Since grub is the default for SuSE and Fedora .. I want to set them up on one hard disc and eventually move entirely to SuSE primarily and Fedora Secondary ... but that is a bit into the future ... for the short term it might be easiest to "archive" the folders and the info contained within and move them one at a time .. this is not a project that needed to be done yesterday ..... it can stretch out over time ..
