It's the posting of short, inane, content-poor postings like "Cool!" and "Umm-hmm" and "+1", etc. for the main porpoise of increasing your post count. ;)

Umm... actually, I didn't do the porpoise thing with you in mind. The use of that word as a substitute for "purpose" is something I've done since I was a child. My mom always thought it was funny... me too. ;)

 

So, why did you use that reference?

navy training manuals state on page one "for training purposes only"

substituting that with porpoises brought great pleasure to most of us going through any class.

HAHA! That is a good one! Besides, I'm pretty sure porpoises are easier to train than squids. :hysterical:
