V.T. Eric Layton Posted January 24, 2015 Author Posted January 24, 2015 I've been sentimental about my old vehicles. I miss some of them very much. I made a new wallpaper that has my favs on it; not all the vehicles I've owned in my life, but the very best of the best... 2 Quote

V.T. Eric Layton Posted January 25, 2015 Author Posted January 25, 2015 I'll assume you mean the '57, not the yellow '59 in the pic at the upper right. Yeah, I loved that ol' girl, too. Too bad she was a hot rod money pit and I was just a kid with a minimum wage job. 1 Quote
Capt.Crow Posted January 25, 2015 Posted January 25, 2015 Yep that's a dream car. The 57. Chevrolet never matched it for style ever after Quote
V.T. Eric Layton Posted January 25, 2015 Author Posted January 25, 2015 I loved my '57, but I'll tell you truly... I have a serious hankering for a '55 lately. 2 Quote
Guest LilBambi Posted January 25, 2015 Posted January 25, 2015 Yes! Awesome vehicles! Ah, the good ole days... Quote
V.T. Eric Layton Posted January 26, 2015 Author Posted January 26, 2015 It rains too much in Florida. I'd never want any kind of convertible. Maybe if I lived in California it would be different. Quote

securitybreach Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 I like the picture but I do not know how well it looks as a wallpaper. Still neat though. Quote
abarbarian Posted January 27, 2015 Posted January 27, 2015 I like the picture but I do not know how well it looks as a wallpaper. Still neat though. I quite like the clear spaces on each side of the picture as a place to place icons etc. How about this one then ? 4 Quote

securitybreach Posted February 3, 2015 Posted February 3, 2015 Rpi B+ running ArchARM on an old CRT (no extra LCDs/LEDs) I mainly only use it via ssh (screen) as it is barely functional graphically even with i3. I used this adapter to hook up the VGA monitor to the hdmi port: http://www.ebay.com/itm/261696758643 1 Quote
abarbarian Posted February 4, 2015 Posted February 4, 2015 (edited) Arches in Arch! Raises eyebrow archly, an what is that stuff in the top left corner Looks remarkably like a modern Window Maker set up Edited February 4, 2015 by abarbarian Quote
saturnian Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 Just a vertical xfce4-panel. I like it a lot better than horizontal for my screen's dimensions. 1 Quote

réjean Posted February 8, 2015 Posted February 8, 2015 (edited) I've moved to PCLinuxOS after spending about 6 months using Ubuntu mostly. The St-Paul island is about 20 miles from where this picture was taken. We used to go cod fishing there. In about a month you could see seals on the ice; Edited February 8, 2015 by réjean 2 Quote
zlim Posted February 8, 2015 Posted February 8, 2015 Nice réjean. Did you take the picture? I actually prefer backgrounds (on my tablet) that aren't busy so don't inference with the icons. 2 Quote
réjean Posted February 8, 2015 Posted February 8, 2015 Thanks Liz! A friend of mine took the picture. It's only 15 miles or so from where I live, on the other side of the mountain range that I normally post about. I too prefer a mono tone desktop for visibility's sake but as you can see I have only 2 icons that I rarely use anyway. 1 Quote
