sunrat Posted June 8, 2016 Author Posted June 8, 2016 I just saw a "wow" video, truly astonishing videography and CGI so had to resurrect this thread. 34 million YouTube plays in 3 weeks! Coldplay's new "Up & Up" - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BPNTC7uZYrI 1 Quote

abarbarian Posted July 29, 2017 Posted July 29, 2017 (edited) She's really agile with those big bread slicers. They are real weapons too not lightweight training replicas. I was suitably impressed. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TuJksDyUbQM&feature=youtu.be I have no idea how to get a video to show at all. :'( An I can not find the thread containing how to. Maybe we should have a sticky about it. Edited July 29, 2017 by abarbarian 1 Quote

We've posted a few times in threads but a sticky is a good idea. Basically just enclose the link to the youtube page in media tabs, and remove the "s" from "https". For some reason the forum software doesn't support https. Like this: Quote

I tried different ways to post but non worked. The You Tube share link does not work if enclosed in brackets. You have to copy the url from the browser, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LN8_LYjftjM and strip out the "s" from the "https" and enclose in brackets. Bit of a phaff ain't it. Still I think I have it now. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LN8_LYjftjM Quote
V.T. Eric Layton Posted July 29, 2017 Posted July 29, 2017 And yet, when you do as Roger suggests, I only see a big blank spot in the post... no video, no link to click on, etc. I think this is some Firefox or FF addon issue, but I've never been able to find out what causes it. Oh, and it ONLY happens at Scot's. Youtube vids posted with media UBB tags work fine on my own private board (ProBoards). Quote

I stopped all the NoScript operating and I still get a black square telling me I need java set up. Shame as you are missing a treat with this one. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pYt0Nwt_oNI Sultry voice or what Mel Cases This song doesn't talks about cocaine, it's about an abortion that Bebe, the singer, suffered. La canción no habla sobre la cocaina, habla sobre un aborto... con lo preciosa y triste que es y todo el mundo malinterpretandola. 18 MelissaLorenzoMakeup This song is originally called "siempre me quedara " one of my favorite songs ever !!! V.T. Eric Layton Posted July 30, 2017 Posted July 30, 2017 Need Java set up? Why would anything be asking you for Java. I haven't had Java on any of my operating systems/machines for years. Quote

sunrat Posted August 9, 2017 Author Posted August 9, 2017 https://www.youtube....h?v=fjgCqbPGq2A Definitely one of their best songs, but I don't really call a static picture of an album cover a "cool video". I think "Sister Golden Hair" is my favourite. Quote

raymac46 Posted August 10, 2017 Posted August 10, 2017 My favorite America song from their first album. One of Dan Peek's finest compositions and some great steel guitar by session virtuoso David Lindley. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xbzwgUb4tJ4 1 Quote
abarbarian Posted August 12, 2017 Posted August 12, 2017 (edited) Ok here is a tune for URMAS. Well five tunes. Well five tunes but the same. Well five tunes with the same music and words but different. http://youtu.be/myzO3eZh22E http://youtu.be/4om1rQKPijI The sound of a polka drifted from my neighbor's and set my feet a-tapping oh! Ieva's mother had her eye on her daughter but Ieva she managed to fool her, you know. 'Cause who's going to listen to mother saying no when we're all busy dancing to and fro! Ieva was smiling, the fiddle it was wailing as people crowded round to wish her luck. Everyone was hot but it didn't seem to bother the handsome young man, the dashing buck. 'Cause who's going to mind a drop of sweat when he's all busy dancing to and fro! Ieva's mother she shut herself away in her own quiet room to hum a hymn. Leaving our hero to have a spot of fun in a neighbor's house when the lights are dim. 'Cause what does it matter what the old folks say when you're all busy dancing to and fro! When the music stopped then the real fun began and that's when the laddie fooled around. When he took her home, when the dancing was over her mother angrily waiting they found. But I said to her, Ieva, now don't you weep and we'll soon be dancing to and fro! I said to her mother now stop that noise or I won't be responsible for what I do. If you go quietly and stay in your room you won't get hurt while your daughter I woo. 'Cause this fine laddie is a wild sort of guy when he's all busy dancing to and fro! One thing I tell you is you won't trap me, no, you won't find me an easy catch. Travel to the east and travel to the west but Ieva and I are going to make a match. 'Cause this fine laddie ain't the bashful sort when he's all busy dancing to and fro. Edited August 12, 2017 by abarbarian Quote

I'll just keep doing what I've been doing; as an Admin, I can just "Edit" the posters post to see the raw URL, then C & P to my browser address bar. Quote
