Hi Colin . . I'm stuck . . . gcc is in your path . . it should be picked up by the ./configure . . . . let me see

See . . ?? it is there . . . . Maybe install the "gcc3.3.ba" as well . . . . . I have no clue what the .ba is but you never know . . . B) Bruno

A reboot should not be needed . . but do it anyway . . dunno about Xandros and a reboot never hurts . . :DB) Bruno

Posted

well I'm at that point NOWBut if you want to try something else while the console in its present mode before reboot ???Colin

Posted

Well you could try

./configure

B) :DB) Bruno

How about:CC=/usr/bin/gcc-3.3 ./configure
More likely:
./configure CC=/usr/bin/gcc-3.3

But gcc is in the path . . it should have no troubles finding it . . B) Bruno

Posted

Yes, it's very strange. Well... i guess that's what we get for messing with a beta. What package types does xandros use? rpms, etc? Maybe we can find a pre-compiled package?

./configure CC=/usr/bin/gcc-3.3 --disable-dependency-tracking

Okay now try

( I disable the dependecy tracking because it has the same dependencies as the old Gimp you have installed at present ):) Bruno
