No, this isn't a repeat , it is a new one for Feb 20. sheesh , i wonder how many people think it is a duplicate warning.

Hard not to be confused or think its a duplicate. Last week was the Shockwave Player update. The previous Flash update was February 4, also ahead of schedule. Even though this Flash update is for all systems, regardless of browser, I've read that it is related to the Microsoft Security Advisory that was released yesterday for IE9 & 10.

I don't think this is a critical update. Not in the sense of IMHO but that Adobe doesn't consider it critical.

Adobe has released security updates for Adobe Flash Player 13.0.0.182 and earlier versions for Windows, version 13.0.0.201 and earlier versions for Macintosh and Adobe Flash Player 11.2.202.350 and earlier versions for Linux.

With today's Windows Update, Internet Explorer 10 and 11 in Windows 8 and Windows 8.1 will be updated. Windows RT must obtain the update from Windows Update. Google Chrome will be automatically updated.

These updates are rated as "Critical". However, the updates do not address the zero-day vulnerability in Internet Explorer versions 6-11, which will require a Microsoft update to IE.

crp posted the following topic about the Adobe updates.

CERT posted the following as well:

Adobe has released security updates to address multiple vulnerabilities in Reader, Acrobat, Flash Player, and Illustrator. Exploitation of these vulnerabilities could potentially allow an attacker to take control of the affected system.

The following updates are available:

  • Adobe Reader XI 11.0.07 for Windows and Macintosh
  • Adobe Reader X 10.1.10 for Windows and Macintosh
  • Adobe Acrobat XI (11.0.07) for Windows and Macintosh
  • Adobe Acrobat X (10.1.10) for Windows and Macintosh
  • Adobe Flash Player 13.0.0.214 for Windows, Macintosh, and Linux
  • Adobe Flash Player 11.2.202.359 for Linux
  • Adobe AIR SDK and Compiler 13.0.0.111 for Windows and Macintosh
  • Adobe Illustrator (subscription) 16.2.2 for Windows and Macintosh
  • Adobe Illustrator (non-subscription) 16.0.5 for Windows and Macintosh

Users and administrators are encouraged to review Adobe Security Bulletins APSB14-11, APSB14-14, and APSB14-15 and apply the necessary updates.

Was hoping Corrine would post the direct links like she usually does for us and other forums.
