  4. Dev channel update to is live Added Features: Added messaging to warn users when they install an extension that has the ability to change their search provider, home page, or new tab page. Added improved messaging and reporting abilities when navigating to unsafe websites. Added a button to set up syncing from the profile flyout.
  5. The Microsoft October security updates have been released and consist of 59 CVEs. Of these 59 CVEs, 9 are rated Critical, 49 are rated Important and 1 is rated Moderate in severity. Two are listed as publicly known and two others are listed as under active attack at the time of release. The updates address Spoofing, Remote Code Execution, Information Disclosure, Tampering and Denial of Service. They apply to the following: Microsoft Windows, Internet Explorer, Edge (EdgeHTML-based), ChakraCore, Microsoft Office and Microsoft Office Services and Web Apps, SQL Server Management Studio, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Windows Update Assistant and Open Source Software. Note: Adobe has not issued a Flash Player update.   7. Based on the BC article, Windows 10 KB4524147 Cumulative Update Breaks the Start Menu, although you can uninstall it if you run into the Start Menu issue, it wouldn't hurt to also create a restore point if you haven't installed the update yet.

Microsoft Introduced new Surface products today, the most unexpected of them being the Surface Neo and Surface Duo: Surface Neo -- a foldable dual-screen device with a detachable keyboard that magnetically seals to the back and can be flipped on top of the bottom display. Also included is the new Surface Slim Pen that magnetically attaches to the back and charges at the same time. Surface Duo -- a phone! No, it isn't a Microsoft phone. It is Android and includes Microsoft Launcher. Like the Surface Neo, it also has a foldable dual-screen but with 5.6 inch displays so it can fit in your pocket. The media autoplay blocking setting under edge://settings/content/mediaAutoplay. Other new features include the following: Re-added a prompt to enable Windows location settings if a site requests location permissions but OS-level location settings are disabled. Enabled changing font size in Reading View. Added middle click support to Collections items. Added a tooltip to long Collection titles.   12. Some forum software has the ability to select a theme. If the vote is close, it would be ideal if a "default theme" (the current one) and an "original theme" (the old Scot's) are possible. Although, the changes you've made are a very definite improvement so thank you for that.
  13. Although Windows 10 Version 1903 was released in May, it was done so as a "targeted deployment". As of September 26, 2019, Version 1903 has finally been released for "broad deployment".
