Jeber
I keep forgetting that this thread is over here now...anyway...Where's WaldoYou may think you've played "Where's Waldo" before, but never like this. And if you think that we're all nuts, check out this link:DumbyEven I can't get as weird as this person. And if I was, I certainly wouldn't announce it to the world. Jeber
Here's the kind of link I don't often recommend...a serious one! Check out The OS Files. A one-stop-shop for all things OS related. Covers Windows, Linux, FreeBSD, the works.

GolfProRM
Found a site with a very nice piece of freeware! The program is called TrayIt! and it allows you to customize programs to minimize to the tray instead of the taskbar. Great use for those mail programs that don't minimize to the systray! It allows custom settings so the program will always minimize to the tray, and you can even have the program startup in the tray! Very nifty little program, and it's FREE!! Works on all versions of Windows from 95 - XP.http://www.teamcti.com/trayit/trayit.htm

GolfProRM
Why is link of the week under the Firebird forum?Scot likes to move it around to all the different forums to hopefully draw new interest to the thread. I had to ask him myself as I was confused for awhile!

I have read your recommended site, in detail, and believe that you could not follow this stream of thought unless you were impaired.I am sorry, Mr. Jeber, but you must not be allowed to continue...I am placing you under the care of Drs Teacher and Bambi, in hopes that they can restore you. If they cannot, you will have to register as a "sensibilities objector" and spend your life in nudist colonies.I am also canceling your Viagra prescription, as the Hippocratic oath demanded "do no harm".Thanks for playing! Turbo
OK Scot,There's a number of links I've suggested in the past, but one or another had already been featured as a link of the week. Then there's been other times I didn't bother to suggest one because I figured that it had already been featured, but hadn't. eldergeek.com is one that comes to mind...Anyway, here's one that I'm fairly certain hasn't been featured before: Carrick Solutions (http://www.carricksolutions.com/pppoe.php). Lots of good PPPoE related information.Another site that everyone should always have handy is MVPs.org (http://www.mvps.org). Be sure to check out their Big List (http://www.mvps.org/links.html).A site that has been featured in Fred Langa's LangaList (twice!) is the List of Lists (http://lists.gpick.com).Have you or someone else ever been mystified by FDisk? Yeah, I know that just about everyone here is likely to be technically adept at using it. However, surely you've been asked by less-well-informed firends or relatives. ComputerHope has the best FDisk tutorial I've ever seen. It's worth a look, even if you already know all there is to know about FDisk. Microsoft should have licensed it years ago. Go to http://www.computerhope.com/sfdisk1.htm. Lots of other good stuff on this site too.Eric Howes' Privacy and Security site at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (http://www.staff.uiuc.edu/~ehowes/main.htm) is a worthwhile place to visit. On a non-computer-related note, Gebbie Press (http://www.gebbieinc.com) is one of the easiest ways to find web sites for TV or radio stations, newspapers and magazines. Scroll down the home page to Media Links, on the left.

Prelude76
I came across a really good (to an unrepentant Dilettante Novice, such as moi) Website for everything concerning WinXP. It's the site of one of MS-MVP's... Kelly.Kelly's Korner it may be a good site, but my eyes hurt from trying to read the buttons and fonts! horrible horrible web design! so bad i dont even care to read the tips, though they're probably good. akomi
I ran across this site that gives some inside information about searching and the use of Google. I use Google search engine almost 100% of the time and have found some interesting tools to put to good use. This site gives you a Yahoo!-style guide to Google with its directory listing the main categories and sub-categories. http://google.indicateur.com/
Jeber
I wouldn't normally recommend another forum here, but this one caters to those who aren't usually awake during most the activity in this forum.
