teacher
There were using my brand new CD but frozen bubble was not behaving. I will have to play with it some in the morning before they arrive. They were looking for tux racer as well but did not find that one.

teacher
Julia, what grades do you teach?I teach in an alternative school grades 8 through 12 (14 and older). That also means that these are kids that need a little extra attention. Burning another CD right now for home testing. Left the one at school up and running so I figure I need a couple more for school anyway!--Julia

Good news/ bad news:Basic configuration looks good. soundcheck results posted above. However, I went to Frozen Bubble to see if it was a fluke from school and it did the same thing. Music plays as if it is going to open and run. As soon as you click on one person gaem it disappears. Hard drive install. I thought I would install it on hubby's computer. After all, he is out of town for 24 hours and will never notice. Right now it is sitting at running for 12:17 for installing (second try) and still sitting at zero percent!Of coruse glxgears does not work since I did not put a nice graphics card in this one. Solitaire does not need fancy graphics capability. Still testing and exploring on shuttle. --Julia

Bruno
Hi Rolana Yes this testing is fun . . . just post the specs of your computer + the outcome of the command "lspcidrake" in this thread so Owyn can add you to the test-team. You can find a special thread with tips HereThe test results and if you have any problems with PCLos should be posted HereTests to be run are: $ cat /etc/ld.so.conf $ glxgears -info $ su< password ># soundchk.sh Because of your winmodem Owyn might have additional test specially for you . . ;)Best place to download the CD: nluug Bruno
