kamicota
Well we're back from 98SEAnd tried cleaning the 2 new Black cartridges but NO SUCCESS with the 820 and shoot that's the only printer I have working with Suse.Thinking of a Cannon for Windows and the C42UX for Linux BUT LInux does not seem to have the support for Cannon as it does for Epson and the C42UX for Suse IF I can get that running in Linux heavens it seem like an awfull rocky road as I need to Self-Publish a 24 page book of my Photo/Poems by next Wednesday.Who said life had no Stress Oh well at least I'm back on Suse tryin to decide what to do next :'( :'( Colin
teacher
If you are getting a new printer, just don't get the latest model. Hubby has a Canon S450 and it worked on initial install of Mandrake. Never had it not work on his machine. My old HP works like a charm as well
quint
Have:EPSON C62 ($89)HP 610CL ($49)...both work on every one of my 15 distro's.
kamicota
aLL Yous out therecanon Has LITTLE support with SUSE so Mandrake seems the option hereAnd C62 seems a possibility here in CanadaHP ??? quint
Colin quote: HP ??? Cartridge price a little pricy ???  You're exactly correct...I paid $49 for the HP 610CL, and replacement cartridges (both black & color) cost $43 + tax! quint
Colin,I think the first thing would be to determine if you have enough room for another distro; what size is your SuSE partition(s)? You will be able to use the same "Swap partition" for both distros. In case I am called away, there will be someone to help you, I'm sure. quint
Is this a 40GB hdd? If so, you will have to take space from one or more partitions, in order to have enough room for Mandrake.
