Bruno
WAIT !One more command in PCLos. . . . # cp -rd /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins/*  /mnt/hda7/usr/lib/mozilla/plugins/ To copy over the browser-plugins ! . . . . . If you get questions about overwriting say: YES !! Bruno
gauchoperezoso
ok,done.i didnt get a question about overwriting.shouldnt we do i for other browsers too before i reboot to mandrake?for now i only have galeon and konuquer out there i think. Bruno
Nope . . . the directory all the browsers look for plugins is the /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins/ . . . just reboot into Drake and check if they are there Bruno
gauchoperezoso
ok am back this time in mandrake.no problems with the reboot.the only thing about it is that it takes really long to start it.it always stops at entering non-interactive startup or at starting netprofile or two lines up at init level 5.then i have to wait like 3min or so.also, java doesnt work yet,not in the konqueror at least
Bruno
For java to work in Konqueror:Settings --> Configure Konqueror . . . . . then on the section "Plugins" push the button "Scan for new plugins" . . . and in the section "Java" in the "Path to Java execautable, or java" fill in the path ( but check the path first !! because I am not in PCLos right now and have another java in my Drake !)It should be something like:/usr/lib/mozilla/plugins/java/j2re1.4.2_05/bin/javaDo this first and we will tackle the boot after ! gauchoperezoso
but it does work in galeon no sound though,i got a soundserver-the KDE crash handler popup saying:the application soundserver (artsd) crashed and caused the signal 11 (sigsegv)an application mostly receives the sigsegv signal due to a bug in the application.the application was asked to save its documents.
