securitybreach Posted February 26 Share Posted February 26 I just got notified of some sad news, our friend Eric (V.T. Eric Layton) has passed on. She didn't say from what but he was rushed to ER and slipped into the good night to join his family. I will truly miss him he was a good fiend & now it's just memories to keep alive. I couldn't quite put my finger on anything specific until recently; have just been lethargic, restless, not sleeping well, a return of GERD issues, etc. Oddly enough, quitting smoking seems to have aggravated things quite a bit. The easiest way for me to resolve these issues is to just admit myself to the hospital for a long overdue overhaul, lube job, tune-up, etc. That is the game plan for Tuesday the 13th (lucky number). My brother will be transporting me over to the ER that morning. I've already gotten all other ducks in a row... who'll be feeding kitties, while I'm away, and so on. I hope to not be away for more than 2-3 days, but you never know. It's going to depend on what they find out with all their testing, poking, prodding, etc. We'll see... I may not be able to keep in touch during all this baloney, but will let you know for sure when I'm home again. I'm sure glad that I got to know him online for some twenty plus years. It's sad to see another friend slip away. I'm grateful to have known him. Made my life better. Great compilation. It is comforting to read Eric's work and appreciate how he was a great communicator. I had to laugh at the 4th link- the photo of the mangled computer on the floor.
