UPDATE 2: 320.4 has been released with the fix for the Task Bar icons issue. The Netflix issue is expected to be fixed in another update tomorrow.

UPDATE: We're expecting to release a small update in the next day or two to fix an issue where users with multiple browser profiles still see the old Edge icon on the Task Bar, and an issue where Netflix doesn't work.

In addition to fixes and behavior changes, the update includes the following added features:

  • Added a new setting to always use Strict Tracking Prevention inside InPrivate windows.

Edit Note:  Due to the Thanksgiving holiday in the United States, there is no regular Dev channel update planned for next week.

Dev channel update to 81.0.389.2 is live

Yes, even with the release of the stable version of Chromium-based Microsoft Edge today, the other versions will continue to be updated at the same pace:  Beta ~6 weeks, Dev weekly and Canary daily.

This update is smaller than usual due to the focus on the release of the stable version.  However, in addition to fixes and improvements, it includes the following added features:
  • Added the ability to hide the Collections button from the address bar.
  • Added a “coming soon” message to all users who still have favorites sync disabled.
  • Added a dialog to inform users when another program on the device installs an extension in Edge.
  • Enabled integration of the Windows built-in spellchecker.
  • Added a management policy to prevent the first run experience from running.
