I don't know - i wrote a perl script to download and distribute the hosts file monthly automatically so I don't have to worry about it - guess that makes me an extreme geek?

6 lines of perl gets the hosts file on your system... then copy it wherever you want, and wrap it all in a BAT file called by windows scheduler.(just install activeperl on your system -it's free-)use LWP::simple;$url = "http://mvps.org/winhelp2002/hosts.txt";unless(defined(@content = LWP::Simple::get($url))) { die "Failed to get hosts file";}$file = "hosts.txt";open (OFIL," > $file") or die "Failed to open $file";foreach $line (@content) {print OFIL $line;}
