Internet Archive Open Library I did not even realise there was such a library with modern books. Thought the Internet Archive only had out of copyright books. Well worth a look though I have never tried to borrow a book as I have tons of books to read as is .   Seems like not everyone is happy with the library,   Publishers sue to shut down books-for-all Internet Archive for 'willful digital piracy on an industrial scale'     😎

I feel bad for all the people named Karen in the world, especially the ones who are not "Karens". Then again, my name is Roger and that has a special meaning in the UK. I survived. 😜

They definitely have matured well and could take the place of a lot of other larger computers for most tasks. I've considered one for ages but the only thing I'd use it for would be a media player and my old LG G3 phone does a great job at that. Plus I have 2 desktops, a notebook, and an old EeePC.

You'd think. However, the biz execs and bean counters of both companies probably didn't consider the technical side of it at all. They just assumed it would be an easy changeover. The saddest part of all was that I believe Frontier thought they'd get some cooperation from Verizon, but Big V high-tailed it... ZOOM! It fell on Frontier's engineers and technicians to get it working.   Having worked in electronics service for so many years, I can't say I'm surprised it happen this way. I've seen many manufacturers sell divisions and not support anything after the sale, leaving the purchaser to sort it all out. This is why technical folk usually can't stand the execs or bean counters. They just have NO CLUE how things work. Their only concern is stockholder dividends.
