Hi - I recently started a thread here about Windows 10 putting my Desktop to sleep because of low battery. I got some useful help from it, but today I notice the thread is gone? What's going on?

thanks!

See: site outage

That said, I don't recall you saying you computer was going to sleep because of that error - only that you were getting the error. Last I recall, you were going to check the batteries in your Belkin UPS, and also see if you got the error with the USB cable disconnected.

I know you and Digerati had spent a lot of time working on the low battery problem he was upset about it also. When I sent him a message at another forum about the site problem here he specifically referred to your topic. So, please post your current status with the battery.

No battery icon. I ended up making another pass through the advanced power options and after I turned off -everything- related to battery issues when Plugged In (which is an odd concept in itself :-), the problems seem to have gone away - thanks everyone!

Great! I am glad you got it sorted out and thanks for posting your solution.

As far as that being an odd concept, it is because Windows does not really know if running on a PC or a notebook. I just looked at my power settings for this tower PC and there are settings based on if the lid is open or shut! >_<.

Pretty sure your problem started because your Belkin UPS reported to Windows, it is a battery and Windows assumed that meant notebook battery.
