mhbell Posted January 5 Posted January 5 The Linux Mint 22.1 Beta is a winner. I downloaded it and installed 2 weeks ago on a spare partition, and I must say it is a winner in my book. I really like the NightLight feature and it's adjustment to save my and your eyes. It works great for me. especially at night. It does a good job filtering the Blue (white) light. so far I've not run into any bugs and it is working flawlessly on my 14 year old computer that I built way back then. I've been using it as my daily driver to give it a good test. It is fast. I'm happy with it so far. Mel 1 1 Quote
raymac46 Posted January 17 Posted January 17 Mint 22.1 (Xia) has now been released and I have successfully upgraded in place from Mint 22. Both my Xfce install and Cinnamon install are working fine. I had to install a mint-meta-xfce package but otherwise everything went smoothly. The Cinnamon upgrade required no manual intervention. Quote
mhbell Posted January 17 Author Posted January 17 The upgrade from Wilma 22 was the same for me. I've also been runing the beta so there was nothing to do with it as the Updates took care of that. I did do a clean install on another computer and all went well. This is another reason I've used Mint as My daily driver almost since it's inseption. Mel 1 Quote
