wa4chq Posted May 23, 2024 Posted May 23, 2024 Good morning all.....messing with my DietPi's. I have NoMachine installed on the desktop as well as DietPi #1 (which has a desktop). I'm not sure if I was using NM correctly but the only way I could transfer a folder was to zip it first then transfer. I completely forgot about using 'scp'..... wow, so much easier and on DietPi #2 which is headless, I can do everything from the cli..... life ist gut. You RPi users need to check DietPi out....that is if you haven't already. Have a great day. Quote
securitybreach Posted May 23, 2024 Posted May 23, 2024 Yup, ssh is awesome. I use scp frequently as well as its easier and faster than other ways. 1 Quote

Get Zimmmed up mate. https://forums.scotsnewsletter.com/index.php?/topic/96416-zim-desktop-wiki-export/&do=findComment&comment=463063 Also this is a neat tool too, https://forums.scotsnewsletter.com/index.php?/topic/96543-gnulinux-software-hall-of-fame/&do=findComment&comment=475430 You could use an alias for croc by setting up a CROC folder on each pc, then it would be a simple drag and drop for any files or folders and a simple one word instruction in the terminal to transfer. KISS in action. Edited May 24, 2024 by abarbarian 2 Quote
