abarbarian Posted February 13, 2024 Posted February 13, 2024 Thousands of people won't be able to use iPlayer from next month Quote Thousands of people will find it difficult to use iPlayer with the BBC announcing a major change to the service from next month. A useful iPlayer function will be pulled from Windows and Mac devices from March and will stop working a month later. Quote people using the iPlayer app on smartphones and tablets will be unaffected, with devices such as iPhones, Galaxy smartphones and iPads still able to download shows. Whilst I think the beeb do do some good stuff, The World Service, local stations,Dr Who for instance and programs like Panorama the management suck big time. They are nowt but a bunch of inbred self seeking upper class dickwads. This latest move shows that as they are keeping the service going for rich folks who can afford iPhones, Galaxy smartphones and iPads. Yer ordinary folk can hardly afford any of those items. The higher ups at the beeb turned a blind eye to the disgraceful and disgusting behaviour of Jimmy Saville. paid over £6 million to the infantile waste of space Jonathan Ross and keep on lining the pockets of anyone who is in their inner favourites circle even when they are way past their sell by date. In the UK you have to obtain a TV licence yet the beeb will not publish any details of how much they pay anyone working for them. That is a total disgrace if the public arte paying for the service then they should be able to see those details. the only reason the beeb do not publish is because of the uproar from the public and the backlash that would ensue. Personally I would like to see them dragged from their ivory towers and stuck in the stocks at Tyburn, as hanging is no longer allowed here. Quote
