wa4chq Posted October 7, 2023 Posted October 7, 2023 (edited) Did anyone else here in the group run Seti@home in the background on their Linux PC and if you did, were your results as amazing as mine? Edited October 7, 2023 by wa4chq Quote

abarbarian Posted October 7, 2023 Posted October 7, 2023 I ran BOINC for THE WORLD COMMUNITY GRID 24/7 for about seven years. Supported a few different projects in that time. At the time electricity was not so expensive and I did not contribute to any other sort of charity.  https://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/about/how.s  https://boinc.berkeley.edu/wiki/Installing_on_Linux  https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/BOINC 1 1 Quote
V.T. Eric Layton Posted October 7, 2023 Posted October 7, 2023 Nope. I've never run any of that background stuff on my systems. I did make a comical meme about it once, though... Â 2 Quote
abarbarian Posted October 7, 2023 Posted October 7, 2023 Hmmm looks like I was crunching from 2008 to 2021. Not all at 24/7 an it looks like I did not crunch 24/7 for 7 years. I do know I was crunching for several years at 24/7 though. This is the team I crunched for.
