raymac46
Hello from Arch Linux on my creaky old Toshiba NB305 netbook.Just upgraded Arch and it continues to be stable and useful on this tiny machine. The small memory footprint is a problem but things seem OK using the Falkon browser with LXQt. This laptop was junk when my neighbor gave it to me 5 years ago. It was running Windows 7 starter at the time. I think it is great to be able to do useful stuff on a nearly 13 year old netbook, thanks to Arch Linux. ray@ray-arch ~]$ inxi -Fxz System: Kernel: 6.1.1-arch1-1 arch: x86_64 bits: 64 compiler: gcc v: 12.2.0 Desktop: LXQt v: 1.2.0 Distro: Arch Linux Machine: Type: Laptop System: TOSHIBA product: TOSHIBA NB305 v: PLL3AC-01E014 serial: <superuser required> Mobo: TOSHIBA model: NPVAA v: 1.00 serial: <superuser required> BIOS: TOSHIBA v: 1.10 date: 11/20/2009 Battery: ID-1: BAT1 charge: 10.7 Wh (53.8%) condition: 19.9/60.5 Wh (32.8%) volts: 12.5 min: 10.8 model: Dell PA3785U-1BRS status: charging CPU: Info: single core model: Intel Atom N450 bits: 64 type: MT arch: Bonnell rev: A cache: L1: 56 KiB L2: 512 KiB Speed (MHz): avg: 998 high: 1000 min/max: 1000/1667 cores: 1: 1000 2: 997 bogomips: 6652 Flags: ht lm nx pae sse sse2 sse3 ssse3 Graphics: Device-1: Intel Atom Processor D4xx/D5xx/N4xx/N5xx Integrated Graphics vendor: Toshiba driver: i915 v: kernel arch: PowerVR SGX535 bus-ID: 00:02.0 Device-2: Chicony USB 2.0 Camera type: USB driver: uvcvideo bus-ID: 1-8:4 Display: x11 server: X.Org v: 21.1.6 driver: X: loaded: intel unloaded: modesetting, vesa dri: i915 gpu: i915 resolution: 1024x600~60Hz API: OpenGL Message: Unable to show GL data.
