While I decry the loss of privacy, I understand where this is coming from. Currently the cybercriminals are winning.

NCSC's Active Cyber Defence has been in operation in the public sector for 5 years. Obviously the private sector is failing to protect it's users so this may be an unpleasant but necessary expansion.
