Windows 8.1 worked OK on a Lenovo laptop I got in 2014 - although I did use Classic Shell to get a Windows 7 look and feel. I like the Lenovo a lot better with Linux though.

I preferred the Windows 7 look and feel over Windows 8/8.1 too.

The December 13, 2022 security update will be the last update available for this version. After that date, devices running this version will no longer receive monthly security and quality updates.
