I never understood their choice for the name of Window's Subsystem For Linux. Really it should be called Linux Subsystem for Windows since you are running Linux on Windows. Their name makes it sounds like you are running windows inside of Linux.

I thought it was literally designed to allow window's developers access to Linux tools.
