raymac46 Posted November 16, 2021 Posted November 16, 2021 (edited) Since I upgraded my Windows machines to 11, I have been forced to use the Windows 11 Start menu. I got tired of the Start menu popping up in the middle of the screen, and having to scroll down to find apps that were pinned. For years I have used Classic/Open Shell with Windows 10, but that program dows not work well with Windows 11. So I've invested $5 in StartAllBack. It works great. I got to keep the rounded window corners, snap grid, and nice icons from Windows 11, but I now have the solid Windows 7 Start menu back. There are also some nice transparency effects for the taskbar. So far I think it is worth the $5. Edited November 16, 2021 by raymac46 1 1 Quote
Digerati Posted November 16, 2021 Posted November 16, 2021 I use Start11 after years of using Start10 and Start8. Also well worth the $5. I note for those on the fence, it has a 30 day free trial period. 2 Quote
raymac46 Posted November 17, 2021 Author Posted November 17, 2021 They are both fine alternatives if you want a change from Windows 11 Start menu. Quote
raymac46 Posted November 24, 2021 Author Posted November 24, 2021 StartAllBack now has an update so you can group the Start button with the other icons in the center to get the default Windows 11 look. Quote
