I saw that article; it's interesting. Unfortunately, buried in the comments is one by someone who talked about browsers he used on several laptops, including one that runs "Linus". He repeated this several times. Hoping to cut down on confusion of the general reader about linux, I inquired in reply to his post whether he meant Linux, the open source operating system whose creator was Linus Torvolds. Hope he took the hint.

Chrome, naturally, comes standard on all android devices. One of the first things I do is install a few other browsers.

Because 3 of my devices are Samsung, the Samsung browser is on them. I tend to use that first rather than chrome to visit google play to get other browsers.

I have to resort to chromium rarely when a few sites where I want to make a purchase simply won't function with FF unless I "restart with add-ons disabled" and sometimes not even then. It annoys me, because I think their sites should work with every browser, but there's not a lot I can do. One is a site I've been using for 15+ years, and this has just happened recently, maybe in reaction to FF changes.

I loved Chromium for the short while I was running it, but newer versions would not build on my Slackware due to gcc incompatibilities. I'm running and older version of Slack what most folks. I'm mostly using FF and Basilisk/PaleMoon these days.
