Stryder Posted March 22, 2003 Posted March 22, 2003 http://www.xulplanet.com/downloads/prefbar/From their site:The original preferences toolbar was designed to give the user more control over the pages viewed, and to allow the power browser to use mozilla with greater ease and efficiency than ever before. The PrefBar2 takes this concept to a whole new level; along with the standard preference checkboxes, the new version includes utility buttons, user agent spoofing, web links, and more, served on a fully customizable toolbar with a side of white rice. Guest ThunderRiver Posted March 22, 2003 Posted March 22, 2003 Very very nice one I just tried it, and I am quite impressed with it. Please keep in mind that xpi setup is proprietary for Mozilla browser only. If you download it with Internet Explorer, IE wouldn't know what to do with it.Thunder Quote

Thanks for clarifying that it does not work with IE, TR. Bad assumption on my part. Glad you liked it. Quote
Guest ThunderRiver Posted March 23, 2003 Posted March 23, 2003 Interesting finding with MSN.COM See for yourself! The default setting from Mozilla/Phoenix browser 0.5 The faked IE6 from Mozilla/Phoenix Quote
zox Posted March 23, 2003 Posted March 23, 2003 Thanks for link Stryder, it does great job.Thunder, I noticed by that you are using 0.5 milestone.I would suggest you to try any of the latest nigthly builds of Phoenix. You will be surprised how much better is then milestone.Hopefully they will speed up with renaming process and they should release new milestone one of these days together with new name for Phoenix.Even the default theme is different and much nicer.Just make sure when you get it to either delete both your profile and old milestone or make new profile for using nightly build since there can be wierd incompatibilities. Guest ThunderRiver Posted March 24, 2003 Posted March 24, 2003 Good call! Let me do that know..and I will keep ya updated Quote
Guest ThunderRiver Posted March 24, 2003 Posted March 24, 2003 I am running the nightly build now, and I haven't noticed much difference. perhaps, a slight interface change? Best wishes,Thunder Quote
zox Posted March 24, 2003 Posted March 24, 2003 Yes, the only visible difference is new default theme "Qute" which is really nice. There is change in options. You can also type now "about:config" in url and you can edit any entry double clicking it in the browser itself, no more hand tweaking files.I noticed also several bugs fixed with rendering on certain sites. All in all, much more polished even though it's just "nightly build" Quote
Guest ThunderRiver Posted March 24, 2003 Posted March 24, 2003 zox, one more major feature I see in nightly build is that when you open up multiple browser window in Phoenix, it has this same tab feature as in Opera where the new browser window you open is acutally a sub Windows of the browser. Thus you only need to click one "Close" button to close all the browser windows Pretty neat feature that you have to pay if you use Opera (unless you like free ads version) heh. Quote
zox Posted March 25, 2003 Posted March 25, 2003 ??If you are really talking about tabs in Phoenix, that has been there since begining. That is the feature of mozilla, so nothing new there.Tabs are one of the major reasons I switched to Phoenix.Cool feature regarding tabs is that you can bookmark multiple tabs in one bookmark entry.Let's say you have couple of news sites open in multiple tabs for e.g., now click "Bookmarks.Add bookmark", you will get additional check box with :Bookmark all tabs in a folder".Close the browser and reopen it, now click on your bookmark, all your tabs will open at once just like you bookamrked it.I can't live without it any more .Unless you are talkin about something else ?? Guest ThunderRiver Posted March 25, 2003 Posted March 25, 2003 Hehe..that's weird.. I never noticed the tab feature back in Phoenix 0.5 Quote
