My Mandrake 8.1 has decided that /dev/fd0 is no longer a valid block device. How to I make it valid so I can see the contents of a floppy? I haven't knowingly changed fstab.drew

Hi DrewWelcome to the forum !As for your problem:Put a floppy in the drive and use konqueror to navigate and klick in the side bar on /mnt ( may take some time to open, what do you see ? Are the CDrom and floppy directory there ? Are they locked ?If it is still locked:Open a console and typesugive your rootpassword andmount /dev/fd0mount /mnt/floppyThat should take care of your situation. Bruno
