My KF, about 3 months old suddenly stopped scrolling. Also had to use button to turn off.

Anyone had experience?

Thanks. Amazon does not seem to be responsive.

Evidently this is not an isolated problem,but cannot find it.Maybe I should have bought an I Pad.

Amazon not responsive to a Kindle problem? That surprises me, I never had that happen to me in the years I've owned one. Is this a regular Kindle or and HD? The HD will have MayDay which you should be able to use.

 

BTW: did you install a different virtual keyboard?

No, I did not install a virtual keyboard.

I'm not sure what you are referring to, eg HD and Mayday. I not found a way to contact Amazon direct.

If I get a replacement I hope The books thay I have downloaded will be transferred. Have you had experience with this?

if you purchased a Kindle Fire and you registered it, then you have an account with Amazon. You can go to the Amazon web site, login , goto the help section and start a chat session with help desk.

all purchased items made via legit channels will show up any replacement and on any official Amazon device you can log into.

The chat guy was helpful. I am surprised that I did it, but I lost the box and did not register it evidently. Maybe Best Buy, where I bought it can help. I think I may be out of luck.

The tech at Best Buy fixed it in about 3 minutes. I do not know how she was able to get into the codes as I could not even sign in. Glad she could, though.
