littlebone
This link points to a 10 example test of e-mail samples. The links in the letters have been disabled, but the letters are either legitimate or they are phishing expeditions. Post here how you did.I scored 80%, but erred on the side of caution and identfied some legitimate letters as illegitimate.Phishing testEdit: Removed duplicated http: from link. GolfProRM
I guess I've seen one too many of these It was a good test, and somewhat difficult, but I did score 100%
Peachy
In Firefox 0.9.2 I get redirected to Microsoft's home page. In IE6 I get a Page can't be found error.
GolfProRM
that's because the link isn't quite correct... it's got double http's http://www.mailfrontier.com
teacher
Actually I had to change it to http://mailfrontier.com. There were two http sections in the URL and a WWW but once I went to just one http and no www I was able to get it. I managed to score 100% but I don't know how. Just went with gut instinct and things that did not look right.Julia

zlim
90% correct - used my woman's intuition. I will not click any links in an email message. I will launch my own browser window and go to my account to check anything that needs to be done. If something looks unusual, I will call Visa/Mastercard/my Bank and talk to someone in customer service.
ross549
Wow, those phishers are getting clever.... :(I only missed the earthlink one..... it looked completely legit. However, since my internet is through Cox cable, I would not believe that e-mail, unless I had to switch to earthlink for some reason.
