I've had .78 for some time now.Speaking of swaret, I have a bunch of packages (new gcc, new kernel compiled with new gcc.....a bunch) but they all fail I guess I'll just have to wait. Quote

I'll check and see if i have the same problem tonight. Quote
Bruno Posted June 14, 2004 Posted June 14, 2004 Sonic & Neil . . .They might have been busy uploading the mirror . . and the list was already there . . in that case you download the list and when swaret tries to get the packages they are not yet there . . . . usually I just try a few hours later and all is 100% again . . . ;) Bruno Quote
ross549 Posted June 15, 2004 Author Posted June 15, 2004 Th guifications plugin is for those of us who have migrated from Windows/MSN Messenger. The guifications pops up a little window on your corner of the screen to alert you when someone comes online, logs off.... whatever you want. It is pretty slick. Quote

I'll have to give that a try.Just got back from a piano performace. I still have a poster to do for one of my finals... then i'll see if the downloads work for me. However, i think Bruno is right. Usually if you just try again in an hour, everything is sorted out. Quote

SonicDragon Posted June 15, 2004 Posted June 15, 2004 Hope the performance went well. Good luck finishing up the year. Do I correctly foresee vacation time on the horizon? Time to play with Linux a bit more??It did go really well thanks. The whole thing was really cool. It was grey and dreary outside, and we were in a sort of gray and dreary (although beautiful) church with a wonderful grand piano. The acoustics were amazing. The grey really set a cool mood too. I played one song: Vesuvious by David Lanz, and a few of my best friends played some of my favorite songs ever -- The Moonlight Sonata, Liberi Fatali, Dead Moon Circus, and La Valse by Yann Tiersen. There was also a really cool flute and piano redition of Stairway to Heaven. I only have three more finals, and then i'll have much more free time. I'll be working at the local mom and pop ISP here again this summer, and i was also offered an internship at the local news paper, so hopefully i'll be able to make that happen too. Regardless, i'll still have much more free time. I can't wait. It'll be nice to have some time off. And of course, i'll certainly be able to play with linux some more. LOL . . usually it is Sonic that does test the updates for us . . . now because of his school finals we take the pressure off him . . now he knows he can safely update his box tooAwwww, thanks Bruno! Good to hear that the updates went well Sorry i didn't get to doing them last night. I totally forgot about it haha. I finished my poster (the last assignment of the year!) and then i just forgot about it. I still haven't done them yet today because i needed to boot into windows to get the free iTunes song of the week (which i really like this week). Thanks again Quote
