crp
We had all sorts of grief past 2 days with a W2008 server and it's IE going to a particular secure site , a site we had been going to continually for over 5 years. FF had no problem but that didn't help as we needed the IE to succeed (another reminder of why applications should allow for use of any web engine not just the builtin web engine). The page would not display and in the case of IE8 it would not even give us a proper error page. The navigation was simply blocked. Updating to IE9 helped in that we got the page saying 'error with certificate' and giving options to close or continue. Clicking the 'navigate to site anyway' resulted in nothing moving, just showing the page again. If it happens to you, well , roll up your sleeves. http://www.ehow.com/how_5024374_fix-certificate-error-internet-explorer.html for those of you who don't like eHow , http://support.microsoft.com/kb/954312 (oddly our problem not caused by the details therein but still worked for us)
Guest LilBambi
Hope the website was a safe one that you bypassed the safeguards on. What website was this?

Guest LilBambi
Interesting ... seems the real problem may be theirs not Microsoft or IE maybe: https://groups.googl...ers/IgTaoVu08pk http://www.ecwid.com...ead.php?p=84643
crp
Interesting ... seems the real problem may be theirs not Microsoft or IE maybe: considering our business, "interesting" is not exactly the word i came up with. What ever the cause, what the he* - it was something we have been doing for over 5 years , dozens (if not hundreds) of times a day.
