James M. Fisher
One thing I have noticed in my brief existence here (I signed up last year, but then got distracted somehow ) is that there are more 'levels' here than a Super Mario game! Is there a list somewhere that outlines the number of posts = level designation?Just curious, mostly..... Thanks! Edited April 17, 2004 by James M. eksimba
At my current rate of approximately 0.3 posts per day, I'll reach the magic rank in about 44 years. I'll be retired then, so I'll have much more time to post.
Guest Paracelsus
Pulled from and earlier post:The last one is secret. Don't Forget...These Titles are: "Subject to Change Without Notice"! First & Foremost in the Philosophy of SNLF, James...Is that this be a FUN place for members to visit, in addition to giving and receiving help And part of that is occasionally playing games with Avatars and Titles. We like to think that the spirit of Community and Camaraderie here is unequaled. Ed_P
The last one is secret.I kno, I kno, I kno. It's Blabber Mouth. I'm not sure the levels are that meaningful. As the forum ages those that are active will all reach the top levels. A better gage might be posts per day or posts per topic. Some forums rank posters by how many of their posts resolve problems. But I think Paracelsus sums it up best.First & Foremost in the Philosophy of SNLF, James...Is that this be a FUN place for members to visit, in addition to giving and receiving help

teacher
I think the secret will never be revealed. Those that have reached that level all have other titles like Administrator or Moderator. Actually it will be fun some day to see what it is. By then we will need 10,000 or more for the secret title. It is just great that folks keep coming back and posting and making this one fun place to hang out.Julia
James M. Fisher
Thanks, all for your replies and for the "Posting Gauge" image. I was just curious, really. Post counts mean very little overall, some posts being as simple as an emoticon or as complex as a 'walkthrough' type solution scenario.Overall, I can see this is 'fun' place to hang out; I'm just sorry I didn't get off to a running start last April! Cluttermagnet
5,000+ ? One of life's inscrutable mysteries.Longest sentence on a single breath is good for 5 posting points each week, rather than a single point. But alas, the moderators are too busy to award the bonus points to the deserving. Most bizzarre or disturbing poll nets the lucky winner an extra 10. Bonus points for cuteness or originality. Demerits for most irritating avatar, however, so watch your step! Welcome back, James M.Post often and prosper.
