marcos9999
I bought Windows 8, there were two disks 36,64, so I installed one in my 36bit old dell. I put together an new computer and no longer use the old Dell but it wont let me use on my new 64, actually it let me install but as soon as I conected to the net is asking me to validate and that # is no good. Does that means I will have to buy a new licence? So ounce I installed in that Dell that's it...spent one good key Thanks
V.T. Eric Layton
Yes, the license is ONLY good for one installation. You may try to contact Microsoft and explain your situation. They may be able to help. By the way, I'm sure you mean "32 bit", not 36.

V.T. Eric Layton
I think if you contact MS and explain that you innocently thought that you could install the 32 bit version on one machine and the 64 bit on another, they may understand and offer some fix in order for you to use the OS on your main system as you originally planned. It doesn't hurt to ask, anyway. Luck! ~Eric

goretsky
Hello, I believe +1 (866) 374-2481 is the phone number for Microsoft Product Activation Center. From there one should be able to reactivate software, at least in the United States. Regards, Aryeh Goretsky
marcos9999
yes, ms should let you drop the license from the old pc and apply it to the new. make sure you refresh your hindi-speak before calling. ps i much prefer 36bit, it's 113% as fast as the 32 bit. Yes you are sure right...talked to this young girl in the Philipines and I could hear kithchen noises on the backgr. Super weird to have her take over my computer and validate...this is a scam...no just Microsoft...it worked...

raymac46
Another reason to love Linux - no licencing hassles. Of course, there are the additional facts that it works great on my desktop, is secure and free. But aside from that.....
