sort results by date

I got how to limit ggle search results to past 3 days, add &tbs=qdr:d3 to the url .

but how can i sort the results by date?

[...] to the right, click sort by relevance, and instead, choose sort by date [...]

It took me a bit too, crp, until I realized I needed to click on "Search Tools" to get the drop-down option and then click on "Past 3 Days".

The question isn't how to get the results limited to the past 3 days but how to sort the results by date.

If you click on "3 Days", there is an option for "Custom Range" which brings up a calendar to select a start and end date.

How is this answering the question?

the first line on google's results is "web images maps.. search tools" click search tools

the line under it is "any time . all results . some city some state"

click any time and instead, choose a range

to the right, click sort by relevance, and instead, choose sort by date

OMG, they give different options if you use Web or Images.

I'm also confused by how you get images to show on top of your results when i just get plain links listing.

So basically, out of luck in getting Image search results sorted by date
