inform
Hello,When I had multiple systems under my desk, three years back I played with RH, and SUSe. When I had the time I played and learned a little. I always wanted to make a switch from windows but have never taken the leap. I now only own one computer and it's a Dell Inspiron Laptop. I played with Topogilinux for a while, it boots from a CD and places a directory in windows. My concern is that my laptop is used for business and I can't afford to play on it. Is there a stable version of Linux that I can load on a laptop with little setup difficulties? Thanks,Linux NewbieChristopher

inform
I have been reading reviews of different Distros Wow I never knew how many there were. I surmise it would be best for me to stick with a well known distro like RH. However, is there one more suited or geared towards laptop installations. Thanks,Christopher

Bruno
If you're really really new ( don't like or use the term newbie myself ) just go for Mandrake. Superior in "starters" friendly-ness. And reasonable lap-top support these days check hardware database: http://www.linux-mandrake.com/en/hardware.php3 Bruno
