Prelude76
-- i posted this in a reply in 'alternative to nero' thread, but making it its own topic instead --I have one question to all regarding mp3 editing programs? I sometimes have a full track in one MP3 file. Whats the easiest way to split it into seperate MP3 files? What I do now is load it into Cool Edit and copy&paste new songs, but since it decompresses the MP3 into WAV and recompresses after copy&paste, its horribly time consuming. I heard and tried one program, Cool MP3 Splitter, which claims to split a large MP3 file at whichever minute/second mark you specify, but its also useful for cutting out intros or ending segments in an mp3 file. Unfortunately, Cool MP3 Splitter was buggier than the current SARS outbreak. Does anyone recommend a program that can split or trim MP3 files on the fly, quickly and easily? bjf123
I've used a program called Audacity to remove parts of mp3's and to combine them together. It worked pretty well for me. Unfortunately, it's on my home computer, so I can't give you any more information about it. You can find it at http://audacity.sourceforge.net/
