Guest LilBambi Posted April 15, 2012 Posted April 15, 2012 Now that we have upgraded to the newest and spiffiest version of IP.Board forum software, you can now once again change your own Avatar in your Profile. Go to your Profile. In the upper Right corner choose Edit Profile. Click on the current avatar picture, and the box above will open. Make your choice from the list of places you can snag an image and it will upload it, and it will dynamically make the sizes needed for the various Profile avatar locations. There are some limitations on Avatars as noted below from the Forum Rules: Avatar Limitations 10. Avatars (uploaded only) are allowed, but limited to the following conditions: Type: .gif, .jpeg, .jpg, .png File size: 50 KB max Dimensions: 100w x 100h max Dynamic images are NOT allowed as per Rule # 9 Compliance with all other set forum rules. Although animated images are acceptable, please be aware that some people are turned off by extremely active or repetitive animations. You may be asked to alter or remove animated images that people find offensive. Also, note, if you do choose an animated gif file for your avatar, the smaller versions in different places on the forums will not be animated, only the full size versions on posts and in profiles. I probed around in the profile, but could not see how to add an avatar?. An irrelevant note is there's no spell-check. Quote
securitybreach Posted April 25, 2012 Posted April 25, 2012 Point your mouse cursor to your blank avatar and you will see the text "change", click that and the window will open. Quote
Guest LilBambi Posted April 25, 2012 Posted April 25, 2012 Yes, I have highlighted that sentence in red to make it more obvious. RE: Spellchecker - What browser are you using? If you use Firefox, there is a spell checker extension and here is a link on Using the spell checker. Be sure to pay close attention to the Adding Dictionaries part on the Using the spell checker page. Quote
securitybreach Posted April 25, 2012 Posted April 25, 2012 It works out of the box on Chrome here. Quote
Guest LilBambi Posted April 25, 2012 Posted April 25, 2012 You are right, Josh! It does. I forgot that. Thanks for the reminder! Quote
