I'm using Firebird w/ the Nautilus 1.6 theme. It only seems to happen on some pages, this being one of them. The font is so small I have to hold down CTRL+ to increase the size. I don't see any settings to change the font size in this browser. Is that something I have to adjust in the actuall OS? I'm using MDK 9.2.

Hi Cyberstorm,I thought it would be a system wide change. I have not done the change because I didn't want to change it system wide, only in Firebird or Mozilla. So I continue to use Control+.But this is an excellent question, and I hope someone has figured a way to do it for Firebird and Mozilla without having to change the font size system wide. B)

I'm going to go take a look on the Firebird page to see if anything is mentioned.

Found this regarding several browsers changes to font sizes:http://lois.co.uk/services/access-fonts.shtmlNOTE: In Mozilla Firebird, it notates only the control +/- for font changing. However, after finding a reference to Chrome CSS file for Mozilla, I went looking in my profile for Mozilla Firebird (in Windows located in:C:\WINDOWS\Application Data\Phoenix\Profiles\default\weirdnumber.slt\chromeand found the following file:userChrome-example.csswith the following commented out area that could be played with, note the default font size area below:

/* * Some possible accessibility enhancements: *//* * Make all the default font sizes 20 pt: * * * { *   font-size: 20pt !important * } *//* * Make menu items in particular 15 pt instead of the default size: * * menupopup > * { *   font-size: 15pt !important * } *//* * Give the Location (URL) Bar a fixed-width font * * #urlbar { *    font-family: monospace !important; * } *//* * Eliminate the throbber and its annoying movement: * * #throbber-box { *   display: none !important; * } *//* * For more examples see http://www.mozilla.org/unix/customizing.html */

There may be something similar in MD9.2 in your /home directory .directory for Mozilla Firebird.http://www.mozilla.org/unix/customizing.html

Doesn't this theme have enlarge/decrease/reset text size buttons? Right click on an empty spot in the toolbar, click "Customize" and you should see them. If it doesn't have them you might want to use a different theme.

Have a look here :http://texturizer.net/firebird/options.htm...#fontsandcolorsOne warning though : don' t mess with the system-wide fonts unless you know what you are doing.(read : don' t import fonts from windows)I've tried that on 3 different distros with the result of all 3 absolute useless after that regarding the fonts.I know somewhere in Bruno's tips for linux starters there was something mentioned about how to add fonts.If you want to add system-wide fonts now or later, go the way mentioned in that thread.I'm going to have a deeper look into my FB in some distro's now : after that I'll be back.

Posting from SuSE 8.2 through FB now :I remember struggling with these fonts too now. Here's what I did :In the Tools menu go to Options > Web Features > Fonts and Colors button : click that button.Half way down at the right you' ll see Minimum Fontsize : adjust it to 10, 11 or if you prefer 12. That' s what did the trick for me.HTH

Believe that did it. My minimum font size was set to NONE. I set it to 13 and now when I browse to this site there is no need for Ctrl+. Thanks again for all the help.

I'm happy the two of you get some benefit of it.I hope others who are struggling with this one will notice too.Back then it took me 2 weeks to find out, comparing FB in Windows and linux,adjusting this and adjusting that. Happy browsing !
