beeTee
As I type this, the "Preview Post" button is down "below" the bottom of the screen. to preview this post, I have to scroll down to click it., and since the cursor is locked in the text entry box, the mouse scroll doesn't work. I try to minimize mouse use as much as possible. is there any keyboard shortcut to do this, or am I just missing something here??
Owyn
Click outside the text box and then you can mouse scroll. Or grab the vertical scroll bar for the window.
beeTee
yeah, that's the irritating part!! I'm looking for a simple "ctrl + ???" or something!!
Guest LilBambi
Far as I can tell, the easiest way is to click outside the box. That's what I do.
Ed_P
Well, you could get a bigger monitor. But I understand what you're saying. A key combination similar to the code buttons would be convenient. I wonder if it's an option with the board's sw.
Jeber
Since it's just a "focus" issue, you can "tab" to change focus from the reply box to the outer window. This doesn't work in reverse. To return focus to the reply box, you have to click within it again.

We have to fill out many on-line forms in exel sheets and a web based logging system after every pass. I go nuts watching the other guys grab the mouse after every entry. It's SO much faster to do with the keyboardalso, thanks for the lesson in terminology!! (focus) I just tried the shift+TAB and it put the cursor back into the text box. nlinecomputers
BeeTee beat me to it. Shift-TAB works in reverse to shift the focus up the page and to the left while TAB moves to the right and down the page.
Guest LilBambi
Yep, that works great. In IE I don't necessarily need to click or tab, all I have to do is move my mouse out side of the box and scroll. But in all other browsers I have to click out side the box or tab/shift-tab.

Corrine
Not only is it faster, but using keyboard commands is sound ergonomic advice too. -- much better on the wrists than all that mousing!
