jaco Posted April 11, 2003 Posted April 11, 2003 g'day, my daughter wants to install netscape 4.7, so she can use composer:i run ie6 and i dont want it to over write my settings + my office outlook email.is there a safe way to install it?regardsjaco Quote
havnblast Posted April 11, 2003 Posted April 11, 2003 My recommendation is don't do it - why 4.7? Doesn't make sense to install an older browser unless your looking for problems. If you going to do it at least get a newer version. It shouldn't overwrite anything if you do, first time you start netscape up it will ask you if you want it to be default - just select NO Quote
siebkens Posted April 11, 2003 Posted April 11, 2003 Another suggestion for a newer browser is to use Mozilla found at mozilla.org. I use it to compose my very basic webpage. I run it on the same machine as IE & have never had a conflict. I had previously run Netscape alongside IE since 1996 & they use different settings - no conflicts. Quote
