Question. Both my Windows XP and 7 machines both have "Compatibility Pack for the 2007 Office System" installed on them. Neither computer has MS Office installed on them. I have OpenOffice on both.Do I need to leave that in the system, or can I safely uninstall it?

The compatibility pack is for computers with MS Office 2003 so that they can open/edit files created in MS Office 2007 which by default has the extra x in the file extension. You can uninstall it.
