ibe98765 Posted October 9, 2003 Posted October 9, 2003 Please put moderator names somewhere at the top of each forum so we know who to correspond with for any issues, problems or private questions. Quote
havnblast Posted October 9, 2003 Posted October 9, 2003 the moderator names are on the main index page of each forum Quote
teacher Posted October 9, 2003 Posted October 9, 2003 Some changes are in the works that will make it easier to identify the moderators. It is taking a bit of time with all the major changes that have just taken place. Quote
GolfProRM Posted October 9, 2003 Posted October 9, 2003 There's also a comprehensive list on the front page... link toward the bottom that says "The Moderating Team." It'll show you who's listed where. Quote
Guest LilBambi Posted October 9, 2003 Posted October 9, 2003 Plus you can easily get to the Moderators using "My Assistant" on any page Quote
ibe98765 Posted October 9, 2003 Author Posted October 9, 2003 There's also a comprehensive list on the front page... link toward the bottom that says "The Moderating Team." It'll show you who's listed where. Didn't notice this before because it is one level deep. Still would be nice to have the name at the top of the forum you are in with a direct PM link. Quote
Guest LilBambi Posted October 9, 2003 Posted October 9, 2003 In addition to the "My Assistant" and the Moderators link on the main page ... if you ever have a problem with a particular post, use the "Report this post" at the bottom of each message/post to send a message to all the Mods in a given Forum. This gives you a chance to add a comment when you use "Report this post"."Report this post" is a quick way to alert the Mods in a given Forum to a potential problem post/message. Quote
Scot Posted October 18, 2003 Posted October 18, 2003 I agree with the suggestion, but like many things about IPB, the forum software we use, it's just not that easy to do. We have to live with some of the drawbacks like this one right now. Also, at the moment our focus is not on heavily customizing the existing version of the board software, since such customizations tend to make it more difficult to upgrade -- or at the least, don't get preserved with an upgrade.-- Scot Quote
