zlim
I've used standalone DVD burners attached to a television. One would only use +R and the other would only use -R. For that reason, I have a spindle of each. Fortunately computers aren't fussy, they use either now a days BUT if the person owns a DVD burner/player used with a tv and not a computer, it is best to find out what that player accepts. I just checked the specs on the Zenith DVD/VCR attached to the tv; it can play CD-R and both kinds of DVDs but can only record to DVD-RW and DVD-R. Tushman
Your statement:Is incorrect. You cannot change the booktype of any -R (minus) media. I do prefer -R for 4.7G Single Layer discs, but not for the reason you stated.I was under a false misunderstanding. Thanks for the clarification.
