Shamgar Posted October 20, 2008 Posted October 20, 2008 I made the mistake of turning off a warning when closing down Firefox. At the same time I told Firefox to save the current tabs. So now every time I open up Firefox I get the same tabs. How do I get this to stop? Quote

Since you are asking about tabs, I'm assuming the warning is concerning closing multiple tabs when you close FF.Go to Tools / Options...To reset the warning - go to the "Tabs" area, there is a check box concerning the warnings about multiple tabs. While still in Options...In the "Main" area, there is is drop down labeled "When Firefox starts:" Change this to something other than "Show my windows and tabs from last time" Quote

"Yes" you are correct. However, I did some of what you said but it refuses to stop bringing up the extra tab. I say "some" since the tab indicated it was set on "show my home page" on the start.. . not the "Show my windows and tabs from last time" I switched it to different combination but always came back when I put it back to "show my home page." It is annoying but I guess I can live with it until the new version or a bug fix comes out. Quote

When you shut down Firefox with multiple tabs open, do you get the warning about closing multiple tabs? If you are seeing two different websites upon startup, that means you probably have 2 home websites setup in Firefox. Check the following and tell us what you see:Tools Menu > Options > Main tab > Homepage:Just copy & paste the contents.Or you could just temporarily change your homepage to something like Google and shutdown Fx. When you re-start Fx, do you get a single page with Google as your homepage or do you get something else? Edited October 21, 2008 by Tushman Quote
Elf Wizard Posted October 21, 2008 Posted October 21, 2008 Just in case you want to try something else, other than the default ff tab handling, take a look at this add-on: Session Manager Quote
