ssk999
I have internet access through metro-ethernet. The network operator has tied-up with a number of ISPs, and you can choose any one of these.Using raspppoe in WinXP, you can query the pppoe services being offered on the network, and from the list of services, select the relevant name to create a dialer. However, since raspppoe is not compatible with vista, there is no way of finding the names of services on the network at any given point of time (although one can connect to a network with username/password details). Is there any Vista-compatible software that provides this functionailty of finding the pppoe services on a network?
goretsky
Hello,I am not very familiar with RASPPPoE, but I did find this message thread on another web site explaining how to manually set up a connectoin under Microsoft Windows Vista. Perhaps that will be of use.Regards,Aryeh Goretsky
