ross549
Well, I stopped being lazy, and made my own simple design. That one you linked is similar to the ones available on the openoffice.org website.Anyone else have any good links? Most of the hits returned on Google don't have much of anything.Adam
striker
One of the best (IMO) sites :http://openoffice.blogs.com/openoffice/200...ng_for_lin.htmlThere's so much to peruse there, even a couple of links to templates, but it depends of course what you're after.Maybe the below links will get you any further:http://www.worldlabel.com/Pages/openoffice-template.htmhttp://openoffice.blogs.com/bookresources/...ates_and_f.html

AdamThat's the sprit! But my post wasn't a 100%-joke... whenever something like this - a government branch goes "open" - happens, it's worth noticing. In this case, the Ministry of Justice decided to implement OpenOffice, created manuals for EVERYONE INTERESTED to download... now - albeit sloooooowly - the other branches will follow suit. Plus, it's the ultimate in-Finnish-free-guide for every Tom, Dick and Harriet.
Urmas
Hey Adam,http://openoffice.blogs.com/openoffice/200...g_postcard.html Making Postcards, Brochures, and Other Cool Stuff With OpenOffice Writer and Draw, and Existing Microsoft TemplatesUpdate: See The Linux Box for more ready-made OpenOffice Impress templates. One of the biggest losses people experience when switching to open source is the loss of all those cool templates. They are, as the song says, a hard habit to break. The good news is, you usually don't have to break the habit. (Unless you've been using Publisher, unfortunately, and you can't open Publisher files in anything—not even Word.) Here's how to keep on using the same templates you know and love; find new ones, or create your own in Draw and Writer. You Can Still Use Your Own Word Templates and Any Others You Can FindHere's where you might really start to enjoy the value of OpenOffice.org's compatibility with Microsoft Office. You can still use all those Microsoft Office templates you got with the software. (Assuming the license doesn't forbid it--just putting that in just in case. ;> ) In OpenOffice.org, just choose File > Open, go to Program Files\Microsoft Office\templates (or wherever) and find the one you want.Well I tried it: went here:http://www.hp.com/sbso/productivity/office/brochure.html(went "up country" too... ( http://office.microsoft.com/en-au/templates/default.aspx ) but got the..."Your operating system does not meet system requirementsThis template could not be downloaded automatically because your operating system does not meet the requirements for downloading Office Online templates."... blues.)Anyways... downloaded one "MS" newsletter template from HP... opened it with OpenOffice:Worth a try perhaps?
