daveydoom
I've been using Thunderbird for a couple of weeks now and just tonight I had to upgrade my account with my ISP. My email now uses an SSL connection. My question is, why can't I find anywhere in Thunderbird to enter my email password in the Account Settings?? Am I blind?? I can enter my username but that's all I can find.Ideas?
GolfProRM
You don't enter your password in the account settings. When you go to send/receive messages for the first time, it asks for your password, and gives you the option of saving it then.
daveydoom
Aw cripes, that's right! . I remember that now from when I initially installed it a couple of weeks ago. Now that I've changed the username it must still be trying to use the old password. I've just tried removing the password and force it to ask me for a new one but that doesn't seem to be working for me. Should I just remove my account and then simply add it again? Is that the easiest way around this? Thanks man Edited May 12, 2005 by daveydoom
