Bruno
. . . . Seems K3b can do even more then I was aware of, I did not know about this part: Extract single audio tracks from your audio CD (ripping)To allow the extraction of single audio tracks and convert them to such formats as MP3 or Ogg Vorbis (again K3b uses the plugin system to support a whole bunch of formats) K3b provides an audio CD ripping feature. It is activated either using the K3b menu or by inserting an audio CD and simply clicking the entry in the folder tree (this is also how the video DVD and video CD ripping feature can be accessed). You then simply select the tracks that should be extracted and specify the target folder and format and let K3b do the rest. It is even possible to directly drag tracks from the Audio CD ripping view to an Audio CD project. It is thus possible to create a new audio CD by combining your favorite tracks from a bunch of other CDs. K3b will then ask you to re-insert the necessary CD at burn time. Easy. Urmas
K3b is simply awesome. It just works like no other burner in the known - and unknown - Universe.
striker
Seems like they had some help/support from the Mandriva folks. Bruno : it can even do more, see this:How to rip a DVD and encode it into an MPEG-4 AVI with K3B:http://k3b.plainblack.com/videoencodingIt's simply awesome. This quote from the site says it all: "NeroLinux is just not worth the time to learn how to use or even download while K3b is still around. K3b offers much more for your money; well, in this case, for no money."
