Firefox v7 is out

A fix is coming...I was wondering why 2 computers updated and my others said I was up to date. Here is the reason

We’ve identified an issue in which some users may have one or more of their add-ons hidden after upgrading to the latest Firefox version, affecting both desktop and mobile. These add-ons and their data are still intact and haven’t actually been removed. We paused new updates to Firefox to minimize the potential impact on users and will soon release an update to fix this issue and ensure all your add-ons are visible and usable.

I don't remember what addons are in each FF on every different computer.I don't think I've lost any.I have so many notecards for all the different versions and the tweaks for each new version that my FF notes are beginning to rival my windows notes!I added a new addon yesterday called "yesscript" to help with a slow site. The first time I rebooted FF there was an icon on the left side of the status bar. Every successive FF start, the icon was not there. It was showing in my addons but without that icon, I wasn't sure if it was working. I've since removed it because I figure I can do the same thing with noscript.

There's a new one called "maybescript" The options are:1) Yes allow all (only when it's full moon, and Earth is the opposite of Saturn).2) Ask me later when I'm awake and have had 2 cups of coffee3) I dunno... i have to consult with God first4) Depends on how many dirty pictures I have looked at and if my ISP is tracking my surfing habit.

good one :hysterical:

Ask me later when I'm awake and have had 2 cups of coffee
Some days it takes more than 2 cups before I'm awake!
Depends on how many dirty pictures I have looked at
That only happens when I accidentally type an url. I've done that a few times.Geeeze, I've had more than 2 cups of coffee and I still had to edit it to remove my creative spelling and forgetting to put the end : after the smilie. Edited by zlim

Don't get comfy with 7, folks. In Mozilla's all out race to catch up with IE version numbers, we'll be seeing 10 and 11 pretty soon. :)

Sounds like this would be helpful, Extension List Dumper :: Add-ons for Firefox
This extension adds a button ("Dump list") to the Add-ons window. When this button is pressed, a new window is opened with the list of installed extensions, themes or or plugins. The browser version and the Operating System are also dumped. This extension is useful to keep a list of your extensions and themes, or when reporting a bug or a conflict to an extension author.

Accidentally? Well for me it's never just "accidental" LOL. Zlim - it's never too late to admit you have a racy side. I can share all my favorites with you, and then we'll compare notes later. *snickers*....

This has happened to me twice in my work career. First time was in 2000 when I was doing tech support at MicroS. The customer was a host for a porn site. I insisted on not doing anything with this problem unless there was a manager in the cubicle with me. Finally the managers agreed and they cleared the section of all people who were not regularly there. I went to the web site, got 2 clicks in when the pop-ups of NSFW photos just started popping up. The manager turned off the monitor told me to not doing anything else and called the client to arrange something else.Twice was a few years later when I was administrating an email server and the new rules for handling spam and the such. I clicked on a link and really wasn't paying too much attention. After a few minutes one of my co-horts said "That is an interesting picture". I quickly closed my browser ;)
